Wausau West High School is proud to uphold a long tradition of excellence and advancement in instrumental music. The goal of the Wausau West High School Band Program is to provide high quality opportunities for each individual student in performing, listening to, and creating music.

Specifically, the development of musical perception, aesthetic sensitivity, and technical mastery are the focus of our comprehensive program. Through the development of an appreciation for music in terms of its intrinsic musical beauty, and not measured according to any extraneous standards of meaning from the outside, it is the intent of the program to instill a life-long love of music in each individual student.
